Academic Symposium on the 20th Anniversary of the Inclusion of Human Rights in the Constitution Successfully Held in Guangzhou in 2024

From June 15 to 16, 2024, the "Academic Symposium on the 20th Anniversary of the Inclusion of Human Rights in the Constitution" was successfully held at the University Town Campus of Guangdong University of Technology. Over the past two decades since the implementation of the "human rights clause," the academic community has conducted extensive research on this provision, accumulating a wealth of scholarly achievements. This symposium not only showcased the latest progress and accomplishments in the field of human rights research but also provided an important platform for academic exchange to further advance the development of human rights in China.  

The symposium was co-organized by the Institute For Human Rights of China University of Political Science and Law, the Editorial Department of Human Rights Studies, and the Human Rights and Rule of Law Research Center of Guangdong University of Technology. It was hosted by the Law School of Guangdong University of Technology and the Guangzhou Law Society's Human Rights Law Research Association. More than 40 experts and scholars from over 20 universities across the country participated in the discussions. Over 300 faculty members and students from universities in Guangzhou and other attendees listened to the keynote speech delivered by Professor Xu Xianming.
